AbstractResumo. Freqüentes em todas as regiões do mundo, as queimadas consomem grandes quantidades de biomassa e liberam enormes quantidades de gases traços e aerossóis para a atmosfera, influenciando nos ciclos biogeoquímicos, no balanço de energia da superfície e alterando o clima da região. Neste contexto, este trabalho tem como objetivo realizar o inventário de emissões dos gases do efeito estufa e dos aerossóis liberados pelas queimadas no Bioma Pantanal a partir de dados de satélites orbitais. Foram utilizados os dados multitemporais de energia radiativa do fogo (ERF) estimados a partir do produto Wildfire Automated Biomass Burning Algorithm (WFABBA) do satélite Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) e do Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) das plataformas Aqua e Terra. Além disso, os dados estimados de taxa de emissão para as principais espécies foram assimilados no modelo ambiental Coupled Chemistry- Aerosol-Tracer Transport model coupled to Brazilian Regional Atmospheric Modelling System (CCATTBRAMS) e as estimativas de emissão calculadas. Estima-se que aproximadamente 0,83 Gt de Dióxido de Carbono (CO2), 0,06 Gt de Monóxido de Carbono (CO), 0,004 Gt de Metano (CH4) e 0,005 Gt de Material Particulado com diâmetro menor que 2,5μm (PM2,5μm) foram emitidos para a atmosfera durante o período de análise. Analogamente, para o mesmo período, o Estado do Mato Grosso, que apresenta a maior incidência de focos de queimada e abrange diversos biomas, inclusive a Floresta Amazônica, emitiu aproximadamente 11,46 Gt de CO2. ABSTRACT: World wildfires consume large quantities of vegetation biomass and release trace gases and aerosols to the atmosphere, altering the biogeochemical cycles, surface energy balance and change the climate of the region. In this context, this work has as main objective to derive through satellite data the greenhouse and aerosols emissions inventory for Pantanal biome. Fire radiative power (FRP) multitemporal data estimated from Wildfire Automated Biomass Burning Algorithm / Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (WFABBA/GOES) and from Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) from Terra and Aqua platforms were utilized in this work. Moreover, the emission rates were assimilated in Coupled Chemistry-Aerosol-Tracer Transport model coupled to Brazilian Regional Atmospheric Modeling System (CCATT-BRAMS) to obtain the spatial concentration. A release of 0.83 Gt of carbon dioxide (CO2), 0.06 Gt of carbon monoxide (CO), 0.004 Gt of methane (CH4) and 0.005 Gt of Particulate Matter with diameter less than 2.5 μm ( PM2,5μm) to the atmosphere by Pantanal biome were estimated. Similarly, for the same period, the Mato Grosso State emitted to the atmosphere approximately 11.46 Gt of CO2.
